The SittingDuck Podcast

The SittingDuck Podcast (SDP) is a mix of great independent music and short discussions about topical news, views and technology. The format often consists of four songs and three broad topics of discussion. Episodes run anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on how much there is to talk about and whether I decide to something completely different!

The songs are mostly sourced from Mevio's Music Alley and Ariel's Cyber PR , and through MySpace and personal contacts. Sometimes this can mean 'mainstream' music, but generally speaking you won't find these artists on the shelf at your local music outlet.

My favourite music is Pop, Rock and Acoustic, but I've also been known to play Alternative, Blues, Comedy, Country, Dance, Electronic, Folk, Funk, Groove, Holiday, Jazz, Lounge, New Wave, Reggae, R&B, Soul, Surf and World!

The main show is released on a Thursday night from New Zealand (Thursday morning GMT).

Newly introduced is an additional weekly release called The SittingDuck 3peat (SD3). Released on Sunday or Monday each week this shorter, 10-20 minute show is based on a single artist each week and features three songs and almost no talk. All songson the SD3 have been played before on the SDP.
